On September 12 boaters will have to share the course with fire and rescue groups conducting swiftwater training:

U.S. Nationals Athlete/Competitor Information

 

Athlete Entry (Slalom and/or Boatercross)

National Championships Slalom: The cost of entry is $50.  The entry fee includes one slalom class and one ticket to the Banquet on Saturday Night.  Additional slalom classes cost $15.   Athlete entry in online; there are fees associated entry.

Boatercross: The cost of entry is $20.  The entry fee includes one entry into the Boatercross race only. 

Coach/Parent/Guardians/Spouses: To have access to the course, an athlete must include the name/address of any Coach, Parent, Guardian, or Spouse on their Entry Form as “Support Staff.”  This is the only way for a Coach, Parent, Guardian, or Spouse to have (i) access to the Race Course prior to Sunday, and (ii) access to park at the Race Course site.    BCE members holding green, blue, pink, or white cards will continue to have normal access to the Course, as per their card, from September 20 through September 24.  However, only U.S. Nationals Pass Holders will have access to the Course on September 25 and 26.

Note: Due to Security Reasons, there is a Strict Entry Deadline: Friday, September 17. Entry is online through Active.com at the link above and must must completed by 11:59 pm on Sept. 17, 2010.  There will be no exceptions to this deadline. 

Note: All Athletes, Coaches, Parents, and Guardians will receive a U.S. Nationals PassU.S. Nationals Passes must be picked up at thee Will Call address on the Race Entry Form before being allowed access to the race course. (Pass Pick-up Address: 25 Ericsson Rd, Cabin John, MD 20818) Passes will be available starting at 8:00 am on Monday, September 20.  Athletes, Coaches, Parents, and Guardians will also need a government-issued identification (Drivers License, Valid Passport, etc.) to present to the Mirant Station Guardhouse upon each entry into the Mirant Property.  Only those with a U.S. Nationals Pass may park at the Race Site and have access to the course from Monday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 26 for practice.

Note: The Mirant Waiver Form must be filled out and a new form given to the Dickerson Station Guard EVERY TIME YOU ENTER THE FACILITY.  So, please fill out multiple forms and bring them to the Race Site for every time you go to the Course. 

USA Canoe/Kayak Forms: (not yet available

Note: The USA Canoe/Kayak Forms should be filled out and given to the Race Official at Athlete Check-in during Boat Control (Saturday from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm).

Saturday Night Banquet

Entry into the U.S. Nationals Banquet is included for all U.S. Slalom Nationals Athletes as part of their entry fee. 

The Banquet will include a Catered Dinner and Dessert at Bretton Woods Country Club, Induction of the 2010 Class of the International Whitewater Hall of Fame, and a presentation of the Whitewater Slalom Foundation by Jon Lugbill (introduced by Scott Shipley). 

Boatercross-only Athletes/Coaches/Parents/Guardians will need to purchase a ticket to the Banquet for admission.  The Banquet will be a fantastic event, and we encourage everyone to attend. 

Banquet Dress Code

Smart Casual (No river clothes/t-shirts).  National Team Members are encouraged to wear Team Uniforms/Gear.
