The course will be CLOSED October 4-7.

On September 12 boaters will have to share the course with fire and rescue groups conducting swiftwater training:

Also: Please note that Mirant will close the course if the water temp is 105 or above. This is very possible with the current warm weather.

Friday, September 17

Deadline for Athlete Registration

Monday, September 20 through Friday, September 24

Open Training: for registered athletes

Saturday, September 25

Athlete Practice: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Boat Control: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (course closed)

Demo Runs: 3:00 p.m.

U.S. Slalom Nationals / IWHOF / WSF Banquet:  6:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 26

*National Championship Slalom Races*

Slalom Foreruns: 9:45 a.m.

Slalom First Runs: Starting 10:00 a.m.

Slalom Second Runs: Starting approx. 11:45 a.m.

*Boatercross Event* Starting approx. 1:45 p.m.

*Awards* Starting approx. 3:00 p.m.

The USA Canoe/Kayak Slalom National Championships are being held with generous support from Mirant – owner and operator of the Dickerson Generating Station.

All Entries Must Be Received by 11:59 P.M. E.S.T, FRIDAY, SEPT. 17, 2010! Names of all coaches, support personnel, drivers, and volunteers requiring access to the course September 20 to 24 must also be submitted by this date.  Support personnel names can be submitted with athlete entry forms, or can be emailed directly to the race registrar.
